A few days ago, Team IGS had the chance to host an event inside the Google Office at Signature Towers, Gurugram and it was an experience that truly reminded me why we do what we do.
It all started with a few LinkedIn messages, 5-6 invitations to professionals, simply asking if they could join a session. Those conversations quickly grew into something bigger: we were now preparing a hands-on Google Cloud AI session for students and young professionals.
Walking into Google’s office that day, I felt the familiar rhythm of a workspace buzzing with real work. This wasn’t about first-time awe or flashy designs, it was about focus, collaboration, and the kind of energy that comes from people building something meaningful.
We welcomed students and professionals, and the session began. Laptops opened, accounts logged in, and the room quickly filled with activity. Some participants were navigating Google Cloud for the first time, figuring things out step by step. Others had some experience but were eager to dive deeper, solve more complex problems, and experiment with new ideas. Mentors moved around, patiently guiding, answering questions, and helping participants troubleshoot in real time.
What I noticed most were the small, human moments. A student successfully deployed after multiple attempts. Professionals pausing to help a peer understand a concept. Students are discussing among themselves how they might apply these tools in real projects. Mentors exchange contacts with participants to continue the learning beyond the session. These weren’t staged or dramatic — they were genuine, unscripted moments of curiosity, learning, and connection.
Running the session inside Google itself brought its own challenges. Coordinating so many participants, ensuring everyone had access, managing technical issues, it wasn’t easy. But seeing students and professionals engage, troubleshoot together, and learn made every challenge worth it.
I want to give a huge thanks to Harsh, Ashish, Navneet, and Parul from Google your support, guidance, and collaboration made this experience seamless and meaningful.
While it wasn’t about firsts or personal “wow” moments, it was inspiring to see the impact in real time. Students who had never imagined stepping inside Google were now interacting with professionals and tools, asking questions, and thinking about how they could take their skills further. Professionals were sharing their experience, meeting like-minded peers, and exploring potential collaborations.
When I looked around the room, I thought about how this all started: a few LinkedIn messages, a few “yes” replies, and suddenly, hundreds of people were gaining exposure, learning, and connecting inside one of the world’s most innovative tech companies. It reminded me that small initiatives, when executed with focus and intent, can create opportunities far bigger than you imagine.
For Team IGS, this wasn’t about glamour or recognition. It was about creating access, building experiences, and giving students and professionals a chance to learn in a real, hands-on environment inside Google. Seeing the conversations, collaborations, and sparks of curiosity around the room made it clear: this was exactly the kind of impact we wanted to make.
And that’s why this experience will stay with me because it wasn’t just about an event; it was about real people learning, connecting, and taking steps forward, all inside Google.
